Planning for your Indoor Water Fountain

You should do a bit of planning before you decide to purchase an indoor water fountain, even if you’re already fallen in love with a certain model. These fountains can add a lot of beauty and a calming atmosphere to any home or business, but you should make sure you’re getting the best one for the area you wish to place it in.

They may also require some routine maintenance now and then, depending on the materials they are made from. The glass and metal parts may need to be cleaned gently with a soft cloth. Other than that, indoor water fountains don’t require a lot of work and they do provide you with a lot of beauty.

There are a lot of indoor water fountains on the market, so you should think about what you’d like before you go shopping. Plan your budget in advance and get an idea of what you’d like. There are many places online that sell water fountains, and browsing online can help you choose what kind of fountain you’d like, whether you end up buying  online or not.

These can also be very easy to install. Make sure the fountain is made from high quality materials so that it will last a long time. It should fit nicely in the area you have chosen for it, so measure the area first. Choose one that fits the decor and your sense of style. An indoor water fountain can be a great addition to your home. You should also think of all the different options, like if you want a table top fountain or a wall fountain. Some are lighted and some are not. Some have a more modern look to them, and others look just like a piece of nature in your home. There is a style and size for anyone and any budget.

Consumer Product Safety: Real Flame Fire Pots & Fireplaces

Recent Fire Pot Accidents Raise Consumer Product Safety Concerns

After the numerous incidents involving consumer product safety and fire pot use, many manufacturers decided to recall all of their fire related products that used gel fuel.  In these accidents, victims were burned severely and painfully because of the viscous fuel gel that stuck to them like glue and continued burning even after the victim rolled around on the ground.  Even through these tragedies, one company stood out from the rest when it came to fireplace and fire pot safety.  The Wisconsin based company, Real Flame, has always been proactive in their safety awareness approach, but in response to these tragic events, the fireplace company raised the bar in terms of safety.

What is Real Flame’s Safety Record?

Check out the Twist Torch Fire Pot Set hereReal Flame has exceptional safety standards for their indoor fireplaces and fire pots.  They run detailed tests on all of their fire related products before releasing the fire-related item to the public.  Through 27 years of service, there has not been one injury or issue with a Real Flame product therefore, it can be assessed that this company truly dedicates themselves to their customers.  Not only were they commended by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for their proactive safety practices, but they are also one of the few fireplace companies that did not need to pull their fire pots from the shelves.

Even the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company had some insight on the matter:

“Our objective should be to vigorously test products and make sure they are safe for consumers”

So, Where Can You Purchase a Safe Gel Fuel Product?

Real Flame has many gel fuel fireplaces and fire pots offered at PremiereFirePits.com that will suit your needs.  They also carry all the accessories and required fuel gel.  Real Flame is a great company that really emphasizes consumer safety in their business plan.  You can feel safe when purchasing one of these fine fire products.

Don’t Eat Cereal from a Fire Bowl

What are fire bowls?

Fire bowls are basically glorified gas fire pits.  They are extremely decorative and function as a piece of outdoor decor as much as they function as an outdoor heater.  Many people find them very easy to use and add to their existing exterior theme.  The greatest advantage of this type of fire pit is that it can be placed/moved almost anywhere at any time.  No messy ashes or soot are emitted from this type of fire pit either.  Colored fire glass is added to certain fire bowls to further accentuate the piece.

My favorite fire bowl is the Font O’ Fire Gas Fire Bowl. This fire bowl complements nearly any setting with its minimalist style and elegance.  The Font O’ Fire can use both natural gas or propane with a simple conversion kit.

Below are a few specs on this particular fire bowl:

  • Dimensions:  30″ diameter bowl by 12″ tall
  • Weighs 80 lbs
  • The Font O’ Fire Pedestal is suitable for gas, propane, or wood fires
  • Includes 19 inch gas burner. Can upgrade to 24 inch gas burner
  • Crafted from 100% recycled steel

So if you are looking for a fire pit that has an immense style and will provide you with an ample flame check out the fire bowl.  It will surely get you excited to spend some time outdoors.

A HOT! Gas Patio Heater

I needed a GAS PATIO HEATER

and I needed one fast.  With my everlasting need to be outdoors and the unfortunate cold weather we have here in Wisconsin, I needed a classy yet effective patio heater.  Overall, the style selection was very vast, but the power of each patio heater varied greatly.  An electric patio heater couldn’t possibly push as much BTUs as a propane or natural GAS PATIO HEATER so I chose to look at the outdoor heaters that used propane or natural gas fuel.  As I was looking, I saw many patio heaters but none that caught my eye like the MOCHA FINISH SQUARE FLAME HEATER.

This powerful heater is one of the best on the market today.  It outputs over 34,000 BTUs of heat and has a easy-to-use ignition system so you don’t have to light a pilot light every time you use it.  The beautiful mocha finish and unique square design will undoubtedly make a nice addition to ANY patio or outdoor area.  The flame that shoots through the middle of the unit provides heat and a stunning view for you and your guests.

Below are some specs on this unit:

  • Dimensions are 19″ Wide by 19″ Long by 88″ Tall
  • Weighs 67 lbs
  • Uses standard 20 lb Natural Gas BBQ tank (not included but can be found nearly anywhere)
  • Heavy duty stainless steel and powder coated steel construction
  • Automatic safety shut off valve in case of tip over
  • Single-stage electric ignition system
  • Wheels included for easy mobility
  • Designer aluminum hood

So depending on your needs (or wants), you can choose from an ELECTRIC PATIO HEATER or a gas patio heater, but either way I know you will be pleased with the ability to entertain outdoors all throughout the year!

Which Indoor Fireplace do you Choose?

I looked at a lot of indoor fireplaces

before I found the perfect one for my den area.  Searching through all the options was tedious and time consuming so I thought I would save everyone else time by blogging about my journey to find the ideal fireplace.

I thought the only options were wood burning and gas fireplaces, but I was desperately mistaken.  There was a style that wasn’t familiar with and that was the gel fuel indoor fireplace.  The gel fuel is ash free, soot free, and smoke free to provide a beautiful AND clean flame.  When this indoor fireplace is in lit, it even crackles like a real flame!  Another type of indoor fireplace I had overlooked, was the electric INDOOR FIREPLACE.  There are many modern and contemporary styles offered in this genre and I was very excited with the many design options I found.  I will now go through the pros and cons of each type of indoor fireplace.

All wood burning fireplaces need a chimney for the harmful smoke to escape from your home. I did not have a chimney and I didn’t want heavy construction done on my home to build one, so I instantly rejected wood burning fireplaces.

Wood burning Fireplace=NO

Even though gas fireplaces don’t need a chimney necessarily, they still need an area for a fan to be installed.  They also come with complicated installation instructions that are easier handled by a professional.  I wanted something easy to install so I rejected this fireplace as well.

Gas Fireplace=NO

Now the GEL FUEL FIREPLACE was intriguing because it did not need a vent of any kind, it was VERY easy to install, and it burned completely clean.  The designs are very interesting and unique so I could find something that would suit my picky wife and the gel was easy to put in the fireplace.  The downside of this style was that the gel fuel is quite expensive, even when bought in bulk, but to some this might be worth it.  I still considered this style “in the running”.

Gel Fuel Fireplace=MAYBE

Bentley Electric Fireplace

Bentley Electric Fireplace

Just like the gel fireplace, the electric fireplace doesn’t require any construction or professional advice.  They are very easy to install and can be set up just about anywhere that there is a plug-in within reach.  Also, there are plenty of styles and designs to choose from so once again, my wife would be happy.  Unlike the gel fuel though, electricity is much cheaper.  So which one should I choose?

Electric Fireplace=MAYBE

So my choices had been narrowed down to 2 choices almost instantly, and I had a tough choice.  Although I loved the unique designs of the fuel gel fireplaces, I did not appreciate the price of the fuel.  Electricity was cheaper but did I want an ugly cord running from my fireplace?  Also, was the natural fire look I could get with the gel fuel fireplaces worth an extra couple hundred dollars a year?  I asked myself these questions and finally chose to buy the BENTLEY ELECTRIC FIREPLACE (shown in the picture above).  I am very happy with my decision and hope to add more electric fireplaces to my home.

A Review of the Anywhere Oasis Indoor or Outdoor Fireplace

Anywhere Oasis Indoor or Outdoor Fireplace

Anywhere Oasis Indoor or Outdoor Fireplace

I found the ANYWHERE OASIS INDOOR/OUTDOOR FIREPLACE

while I was looking for a fancy and unique addition to my living room.  I had never even realized that they made INDOOR FIREPLACES like this and I was instantly intrigued.  This SMOKELESS (yes I said smokeless) fireplace is designed from stainless steel and uses an environmentally clean gel fuel that burns a bright orange-yellow, soot free, ash free, and even smoke free flame that crackles like a real log fire.  The instant I saw this item I knew I wanted it in my home.  The modern style fits my decor perfectly and the dancing flames in the middle of my coffee table keep me entertained.

Included with this unit was decorative stones that are to be placed on top of the FIREPLACE but I scattered them around the bottom of the unit to add a personalized touch.  This indoor fireplace is very lightweight in spite of it being made of pure stainless steel.  I imagine it will last me and my family a long time.

Here are some other details about the Anywhere Oasis Indoor or Outdoor Fireplace:

  • The fireplace container measures 14″ length by 13.5″ wide and 7.5″ tall
  • Safe to use indoor or out with the use of the right FUEL GEL
  • Must be positioned on a steady surface
  • Very portable
  • Canister can hold up to 16 oz of gel

The only negative I can report about this indoor/outdoor fireplace, is that the gel is somewhat expensive but I feel like it is completely worth the cost.

The Water Bell Fountain Review

At first, I was reluctant to buy the WATER BELL FOUNTAIN

…because of the obnoxious sound I thought it might make but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it as a gift from my sister so I decided to do a review on it so other people won’t be so scared to buy this wonderful decoration.

First of all, the combination of the subtle chimes and the flowing water create a very relaxing sound that soothes away my stress after a long day of monotonous work. The chimes just float around the water and quietly ding as they hit each other as the water flows gently from the center of the unit.  This TABLETOP WATER FOUNTAIN is mostly made of copper but the bells are made of brass. The cord is well hidden so it doesn’t detract from the overall design of the fountain.

Below are some of the details on the fountain:

  • The basin measures 16″ diameter by 7″ tall
  • The entire unit weighs about 11 lbs.
  • Included is the pump, brass cups & copper basin
  • If you order from www.waterfountainplace.com you can get it shipped to you very quickly!

The Water Bell Fountain is a cute INDOOR FOUNTAINthat can be added to any home or office to add tranquility to the area.  The bells are not annoying and the sound of water is surprisingly more powerful than I initially thought.  All in all this is a good little fountain and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a small decorative addition to their apartment or office.

Review of the Bellagio Dining Set

Bellagio Dining Set

Bellagio Dining Set

So Glad I Bought the Bellagio Dining Set

I have been considering many PATIO FURNITURE SETS for awhile now, and finally made a strong decision for the BELLAGIO DINING SET. This furniture set is an elegant and sophisticated addition to my outdoor patio.  The cushioned chairs are extremely comfortable and the table is very sturdy.  The fact that this table and chair set is made primarily from Teak is just a bonus.  If you didn’t know Teak wood is a natural bug repellant and does not deteriorate like other wood furniture sets.  Teak is also known to be naturally durable and low-maintenance.  For these reasons, TEAK FURNITURE is usually very expensive but this dining set that comes with 6 chairs and a very large dining table costs under $3,000!

Here are the specs on this dining set:

  • Table is 30″ tall by 59″ long and 36″ wide
  • Each of the 6 padded chairs measure at 33″ tall by 23″ wide and 27″ deep
  • Use indoor or outdoors in encouraged
  • A simple assemble is required
  • Frame color is a rich brown Java Coffee
  • Chair cushion color is white
  • A 2 year warranty is included

I am very pleased with my OUTDOOR DINING SET and will enjoy many meals with my family around it.  I hope this review helped you decide on a patio furniture set.  Everyone has different tastes and style when it comes to decor, but I doubt anyone could deny that this wooden patio furniture set is ugly or distasteful in any way.

Electric Patio Heater Review

An Extensive Look at Electric Patio Heaters

Hanging Stainless Steel Halogen Patio Heater

Hanging Stainless Steel Halogen Patio Heater

An outdoor patio is the best place to unwind and spend quality time with ones close friends and family. But typically this experience can be reduced to certain months and times. This is because you cannot hang out on a porch when a frigid wind is blowing. So to appreciate every single minute with your family and to relax whatever time regardless of whether it’s night or day you simply will need to buy an outdoor patio heater. Previously porch warmers were not deemed so effective. In a very cold environment and gusting conditions they were unable to warm-up the area, though nowadays, you can get powerful porch heaters that can heat a wide radius even when placed in a very frigid environment. So, let’s discover the various features and kinds of outdoor patio warmers.

When people consider an outdoor warmer, the most usual image is a fuel powered porch heater. Even though they are popular, gas outdoor warmers aren’t the only type of heater available right now. Electrical patio heaters are readily available and feature some great benefits over gas outdoor patio heaters.  As opposed to a fuel outdoor patio heater, an electrical outdoor patio heater can be mounted near combustible surfaces. This means you could place an electrical outdoor heater virtually anywhere including indoors. Although an electrical patio heater must be placed about 7 feet from the ground, it can be placed under awnings and in other locations where a gas outside patio warmers would present a burning risk.
Some other advantages of the electric outdoor heaters include silent operation, precise control over heat output, and no harmful emissions, making them appropriate for interior and exterior use. Despite the popular belief that electric patio heaters are expensive to own, they are actually less expensive than natural gas patio heaters, costing only $.36 an hour for the best 3000 watt warmer.
There are numerous manufacturers of electric outdoor patio warmers, therefore you have a wide choice of designs and colours. Patio heaters are offered in stainless-steel or powder-coated finishes that protect the heater from corrosion. You will love the low maintenance of electronic outdoor patio heaters. Once mounted, they are accessible 7 days a week and 24 hours a day and you never need to stress about running out of fuel.
Electrical outside patio warmers use an electric quartz short wave to provide radiant heating. This is equivalent to the category of warmth that sunshine produces, meaning people and objects will be heated up, but not the air in between. This means you can even use the warmer on breezy times.

Propane Patio Warmer Safety Instructions

Copper Finish Standard Heater

Copper Finish Standard Heater

Depending on your requirements, you can purchase a great outdoor patio heater. You’ll find a few sorts of patio heaters that may be segregated in terms of resources used. Right now there are basically 3 varieties of energy indoo/ outdoor heaters: lp, natural gas and electricity. Included in these 3 varieties are portable outside patio heaters with built-in wheels, free standing porch warmers, table top outdoor patio heaters,  fitted patio heaters and ceiling or wall mounted porch warmers. Let’s push farther to check out details regarding the types of outdoor patio warmers available.
LP patio warmers are one of the greatest innovations of all time. They will allow us to experience our outdoor terrace or porch through a much longer time of year than before. With an outdoor patio propane heater, you will entertain and unwind outside well into the fall months and in the early spring.
Outdoor patio heaters have evolved to the point where they are very safe to use. Many types feature safety cut off valves which will stop the flow of fuel if the warmer falls over. This critical security function lowers the fire hazard of outdoor patio heaters to a minimum.
That is certainly not to convey that caution should not be observed when using your outside outdoor heater. Like all propane components, outside patio heaters should be used carefully to ensure the safety of your household and guests.
Most patio warmers use propane or natural gas as their fuel source. Both types of fuel provide plenty of heat in all kinds of weather. The design of patio warmers is the same whether they use propane fuel or natural gas fuel, so pick the type of outdoor fuel heater that is readily available in your area.
The efficiency of your patio heater is directly affiliated with the kind of apparatus and the radiant heat distributor. Most warmers have an umbrella like awning at the top of the heater which distributes the heat. Depending on the weather and the temperature of the air, the radiant heat can be felt up to 10 feet away from the heater in all directions, providing a 20 foot diameter hot spot.
